In the May 5 issue of the New England Journal of Medicine, Dr. Jonathan Shoag, a resident in the Department of Urology at NewYork-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center and Weill Cornell Medicine, and Dr. Jim C. Hu, director of the LeFrak Center for Robotic Surgery at NewYork-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell and the Ronald Lynch Professor of Urologic Oncology at Weill Cornell Medicine, call into question a landmark study that served as the basis for national prostate cancer screening recommendations.
